About these terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of The Global Entertainment Awards members area and your submission of entries to the awards. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read them carefully.
The Global Entertainment Awards ("we", "us") reserves the right to update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to the email address on your account.
Your account
You must provide accurate, current and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
Accounts are for use by the individual or company named on them. Please contact us straight away if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Entries
By submitting an entry you confirm that you own, or have the necessary rights and permissions to submit, all material included in it, and that the credits you provide are accurate. You are responsible for obtaining any clearances required from clients, rights holders and contributors.
Entries must be eligible under the published rules for the relevant awards year, including release dates, categories and regions. We may reject or disqualify an entry that does not meet the rules, and entry fees are not refundable in those circumstances.
Once an entry has been submitted and paid for it is locked and cannot be edited. Credits and titles submitted may appear on winner graphics, on our website, in press materials and during ceremonies exactly as provided.
Fees and refunds
Entry fees are shown at the point of payment and depend on your company type, the category entered and the deadline window at the time of payment. Fees are payable in pounds sterling and include any applicable taxes stated on your receipt.
Fees are non refundable except where we withdraw a category, or at our discretion. Refunds, where made, are returned to the original payment method.
Use of your material
You grant us a non exclusive, royalty free licence to reproduce, display and distribute your entry materials for the purposes of judging, promoting the awards, announcing shortlists and winners, and archiving past awards. We will credit the work as provided in your entry.
We do not acquire ownership of your material and will not use it for unrelated commercial purposes without your permission.
Judging
Judging is carried out by panels selected by us. The decisions of the judges are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Judges are asked to declare conflicts of interest and do not score entries in which they are involved.
Your data
We process the personal information you provide in order to run your account, process entries and payments, and communicate with you about the awards. We use trusted third parties for email delivery and payment processing. We will only send you marketing about the awards and our partners if you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time from your account.
Liability and law
We provide the members area on an "as is" basis and are not liable for loss arising from interruptions, data loss or errors beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
